During an anniversary party thrown at Carter and Babs’ mansion, Lois goes to the bathroom to change out of her swimsuit and Joe accidentally walks in on her, achieving an erection at her sight. He quickly leaves, but Bonnie later tells Lois that for the first time in years, he was able to have sex with her. While doing household chores, she notices him looking through the window at her so she puts on the show for him, allowing him to get an erection again for Bonnie. But when she tries to turn on her charms for Peter that night, he is totally uninterested. After returning from a jog with Donna, Quagmire spies her showing off for Joe yet again, and tells Peter, who confronts Joe and punches him out.
When he confronts Lois as well, she points out that he was totally uninterested in her, and he tells her that she holds no excitement for him anymore, but falls flat when he tries to give her a taste of her own medicine. When she goes back to Joe, he tells her that he can't continue his behavior with her, being Peter's best friend. Seeking attention by dressing up as a nurse in a veterans hospital, she ends up getting arrested and finds Peter also under arrest for deviant behavior of his own. They both admit that while it seems they have no secrets or surprises left for each other, there's no one else they'd rather be with, as they take up role-playing games back home to spice things up.
Meanwhile, the anniversary gift for Peter and Lois turns out to be a toy car instead of an expensive one, so it's given to Stewie. He puts on airs about his car until he has to pick up a drunken Brian, who vomits all over. While cleaning it off, he complains to Chris about the upkeep such a car takes. While driving with some of his stuffed animals, he gets distracted by a boy on a big wheel enjoying the simple life, causing him to crash into a telephone pole when he loses focus. Rupert is pitched from the car, and Stewie is concerned about him until he's decided that he's all right. Stewie burns the remains of his car and files an insurance claim, but when the insurance adjuster has video evidence on a ring cam, he finds that Stewie has evidence of his own misdeeds and gets him his check.
As Peter and Lois enjoy a Seussian sex fantasy, It's revealed to just be a bedtime story that Chris made up for Stewie, who refuses to allow him to read him any more of his own stories.
