The Griffins and their friends tailgate at the Patriot's game. But at the end of the game, the Patriots blow their chance to win. At The Drunken Clam, they angrily discuss the missed chance. During the postgame, the players attribute their win to God and Peter proposes they find and confront God about messing with their games. Starting at a church, Cleveland finds a funeral. They move on to Carrie Underwood who attributes her success to God. After traveling to Nashville, Carrie blows them off as her boyfriend Jesus gets jealous.

Taking things to the extreme, they travel to Greece where they hope to run into success with multiple Gods and meet Chronos, the God of time but he isn't their solution. Moving on to Jerusalem, they find everyone is like Mort Goldman. In India, they decide that conditions are not fitting for God. In Heaven, God meets them personally but things are not what they expect. Getting to business, Peter tells him to quit making the Patriots lose and despite His initial denial, Peter works it out of Him that he has a slight interest in the games and blames his disinterest to coach Bill Belichick not smiling after winning three Super Bowls. He agrees to give the Patriots a break if they have a word with Bill and get him to smile. Their attempt to get Bill to smile meets with stiff resistance and Bill tells them to leave. As they start to give up, Peter's description of Joe's treatments finally get a grin out of Bill and they get God to leave the Patriots alone. When Peter gives God a noogie, God is revealed to be autistic. Back home, Brian still refuses to believe in God as Peter's last wish from God was to make Meg vanish.
