Peter, Cleveland and Joe come across a VHS tape called “Winter/Summer” an Asian soap opera that Quagmire starred in when he was living in Korea. Unable to find the final episode of the series, the guys travel to Korea to find it and Quagmire is reunited with his old lover. Meanwhile, Stewie worries he might become a redhead.

Peter goes to Quagmire's to pick up some clothes left by Ida. There he and the rest of the guys sort through boxes of stuff and find some tapes of a soap opera Quagmire starred in while in the service. Watching the tapes, they become enthused with the series but find the last episode is missing, leaving a cliffhanger unresolved and Quagmire unable to remember the final result. To find the final episode, the guys head to Korea to find the last episode.

There, Quagmire is still remembered as a celebrity, both in public and when checking in to the hotel. While searching for the video, they run into Quagmire's former co-star who invites them to see the final episode after dinner at her place. There, they find out that Quagmire and Sujin had more that just a working relationship, but were lovers as well. While preparing dinner, she allows the guys watch Korean pop music videos to pass the time until they can all sit down to see the soap opera and Peter becomes intrigued. After dinner, they find the final resolution to the soap opera has Quagmire leaving to return home in America, but Peter's comments about the show inspire Quagmire to stay in Korea this time with his co-star and lover.

The guys try to talk Quagmire out of his decision but he has decided he wants to find himself a new life. The guys drink at a Korean bar and while watching another K-pop video, they decide to make a music video of their own, pointing out the advantages of returning to Quahog but still fail to change his mind. But when turning in for the night, he finds that her entire family will be living in close quarters with them.

As the guys prepare to leave, Quagmire arrives at the airport with his own tag to the song and joins them, his former lover and her family happy just to be in a K-pop video. Back at the Drunken Clam, after Quagmire expresses happiness at being back, Mayor West, Mort and Tom Tucker return from their own vacation to taunt them.
