Lois and Peter are cold toward Tricia at first, but when she shows some affection toward Peter tempered with tough love and admits she had always wanted a family, she becomes his "tiger mom." While canoodling with Carter one night, she gets him to admit to his plan to use toxic materials in the beer cans. Satisfied with having wrapped up her story, she leaves Carter. As he commiserates with Peter over ice cream, they hatch a plan to embarrass her at an awards dinner by spiking her drink, causing her to simultaneously vomit, orgasm and have diarrhea. After causing a distraction that allows them to successfully spike the drink, they observe Tricia's mother berating her and realize that perhaps that not only was she hampered by her upbringing, but Peter also realizes that he was using her as a replacement for his deceased mom. He leaps in to take the drink and experiences the consequences.

Meanwhile, Brian is stopped for running a red light by Joe who impounds his car after he is found to have an expired driver's license. Stewie appoints himself Brian's driving instructor and subjects him to both a corny driver's ed film, but confusing acronyms on a road test. The acronym teaching proves useful when the examiner spills coffee on his lap looking it up and passes Brian in exchange for a ride to and from the hospital.

Back home, the family ponders Bab's resolution with Carter, and shrug it off as her simply being back in place when needed again.
