Family Guy Episode 14
As the guys hang out at the Clam, they talk about the new billboard advertising pudding and decide to go check it out. Arguing over whether or not it contains real pudding, Peter climbs up to check and finds a missing child. In recognition, they give Peter the key to the city, but Joe suddenly feels disappointed for not being similarly honored after his many years on the force and decides to spontaneously quit his job and leave his family.
As Lois feels sorry for their family, Peter is less concerned. He, Quagmire and Cleveland visit him in his new apartment and find he is living his dream life. When he suggests a road trip to Niagara Falls, they find his stunts like cow tipping and crashing student keg parties to be annoying, but after they arrive, they find he is trying to kill himself at the falls. But when they look over the edge, they find he is caught on a tree.

After Joe is rescued, he reveals that he feels worthless because he isn't the man he used to be. They try to convince him that he's still a good man, only for him to try to kill himself a second time and get caught again. They tie him to a hotel bell cart and decide to get him back to Quahog to get help, but decide to finish their sightseeing first. Joe tricks Peter into opening an aerial tram door over the falls so he can leap out, but when Quagmire tackles him, their wrestling causes the guys to fall out themselves and drop into the water below, leaving Joe to save them. Joe uses his chair to speed along the shore to catch up with them, and hauls himself overhand to dangle his legs low to have them climb up to safety. As they climb up the bank, Joe is applauded for a hero and he realizes that he did it for his friends. Back home, Joe gets his job back and plans an assault on Bonnie to scare her back into his arms, forgetting that he planned it for that very day.
