Peter gets himself arrested to avoid Lois' special Thanksgiving dinner; A secret that Stewie's been keeping from everyone is revealed.

Peter is irritated when Lois informs him that she invited her entire family over for Thanksgiving. Chatting with the guys, he finds out from Joe that a fair number of people actually get arrested on purpose to avoid the holidays so they hatch a plot to do the same. But instead of going to the city jail due to overcrowding, they are diverted to the State penitentiary. Because they can't get out until court convenes the following Monday, they try unsuccessfully to lay low. When that doesn't work, they find their only alternative is to join gangs. Cleveland Joe and Quagmire find success but Peter is nearly left out, until he is offered a chance to join a bunch of skinheads. However, he finds it is on the condition that he shivs Cleveland.

Finding that there's no way out of it, he prepares to go through with stabbing Cleveland, but is stabbed first by Quagmire, who is stabbed by Joe and stabbed in turn by Cleveland. To complete the circle, Peter does stab Cleveland but all this nearly starts a riot in the prison. Peter makes an impassioned speech which calms the situation down, and when he wishes he was back home with his family, Lois lets them know that she'll be waiting for him. Peter gets an early release from a prisoner that likely stabbed the warden and everyone gets to go home with their families.

Meanwhile, Stewie, while visiting Peter, tell Brian that he's been romantic pen pals with several prisoners, eventually marrying one.
