When Peter decides to enter a greased-pole climbing contest, he leaves a reluctant Meg with Lois for the day. When Lois treats them to a bottle of Snapple, she finds she's won a $10,000 prize. When Lois' original intention for the money is some minor home repairs, Meg talks her into splurging on something more exciting, so she proposes a secret mother-daughter trip. Flaunting their prize money, they draw the attention of a father-son couple. Later while visiting the resort town, they are kidnapped because they are mistaken for beverage heiresses of the Snapple family. When Lois sets them straight, they are confused as to what to do with them. She takes advantage of the situation to get them to toss her purse toward her. Using materials that she picked up on the cheap at Goldman's Pharmacy, she manages to incapacitate and slow the kidnappers while she frees Meg, eventually tying up the kidnappers with CVS receipts. Back home, Lois admits being the wild parent isn't for her because of Peter's antics while the latter's babysitter lets her know exactly what he's been up to.
